Markéta Mlčkovský Millerováadvocate
Markéta provides clients with comprehensive support in resolving disputes in the fields of civil and commercial law, insolvency law (incidental disputes), family law, and labor law, including client representation in court proceedings in exceptionally complex cases.
In the area of family law, she focuses on advising clients on complex issues of matrimonial property law, including its corporate aspects (optimal setup of matrimonial property regimes, spousal consent for the disposal of jointly owned property, settlement of joint property, spousal maintenance, and severance payments). Regarding the arrangements for minors, she deals with matters of child custody, contact arrangements, child maintenance, and disputes concerning significant child-related issues, including domestic and international child abduction and the acquisition and management of assets held by underage children. These cases frequently involve an international element.
In labor law, she has experience in drafting employment-related legal documentation and handling disputes concerning the termination of employment relationships and claims for damages.
Before joining BADOKH, Markéta gained significant professional experience in civil procedural law and labor law at one of the district courts in Prague.
In 2012 and 2013, Markéta spent a year at KU Leuven University in Belgium, where she studied European Union law and human rights under a scholarship program funded by the Flemish Community government.
Markéta is the author and co-author of expert legal texts published, among others, by C. H. Beck. In 2012, she successfully defended her dissertation on "Fundamental Principles of Child Rights Protection in Czech and English Law."
She is a member of the Czech Bar Association as an attorney and has been a member of its advisory section for family law since 2022. In the past, she served on the Committee for the Rights of the Child under the Government Council of the Czech Republic.
